VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems use refrigerant directly to serve multiple indoor units from one outdoor unit — flexible, efficient, and suited to medium-large commercial spaces. Split-duct units are simpler ducted systems for single zones, typically used in offices and smaller commercial or residential applications.
